Trek Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport.

  • Max Altitude: 1300m / 4,265ft
  • Accommodation: 3 Star / Tourist Level Hotel

On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu we will pick up you from airport with your name tag and transfer to your hotel. You will have opportunity to ask about Nepal or about Everest Base Camp.


Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing or Day Climbing Trip

  • Accommodation: 3 Star / Tourist Level Hotel

Today is a day for rest and preparation. You can choose to explore the sights of Kathmandu Valley or opt for a day climbing trip with us for an extra fee.


Day 3 : Kathamandu to Lukla (Flight) and then to Phakding

  • Max Altitude: 2860m / 9,383 ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : 4 Hours

We'll fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, a 30-minute flight marking the start of our trek. Sometimes, due to changing rules, flights might operate from Manthali Airport in Ramechap District. This involves a 4 to 5-hour night drive from Kathmandu, followed by a 20-minute flight from Manthali to Lukla the next day. Upon arriving in Lukla, we'll meet our porters and set off on foot towards Phakding. Along the way, we'll encounter Tibetan prayer flags and meet locals. The hike to Phakding will take about 4 hours.


Day 4 : Phakding to Namche Bazar

  • Max Altitude: 3440m, 11,286 ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : 5-6 Hours

Today's trail leads us through forests, traditional villages, and Yak pastures. We'll enter Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the sight of Thamserku rising above us. After a lunch break, we'll continue our hike to Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa village in the Khumbu region. Here, you'll have a final opportunity to stock up on your preferred snacks and even chocolates.


Day 5 : Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

  • Max Altitude: 3700m, 12,139 ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : Basic Day Hike

We will visit Syangboche this day.


Day 6 : Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

  • Max Altitude: 3,860m / 12,664ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : 4 - 5 Hours

After a quick morning breakfast, we set out from Namche towards Tengboche. This path is renowned as the most picturesque stretch of the Everest Base Camp trail. Passing through Phungi Thanka, we descend to the Dudh Koshi Valley before gradually ascending to Tengboche. This leg of the journey places you amidst remarkable peaks like Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Lhotse. Tengboche holds spiritual significance in the Khumbu region, accessible only after crossing the Imja River. After approximately 5 hours of trekking, we arrive in Tengboche for an overnight stay.


Day 7 : Tengboche to Dingboche

  • Max Altitude: 4410m / 14,468ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : 5-6 Hours

We commence our trek towards Dingboche. The trail starts with a gentle descent into a lush forest adorned with birch, conifers, and rhododendron trees. Along the way, we're treated to awe-inspiring views of the Himalayas, including Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Makalu. Passing through Debuche and crossing the Imja River, we reach the Pangboche village before ultimately arriving at Dingboche, where we'll spend the night at a Tea House.


Day 8 : Acclimatization in Dingboche

  • Max Altitude: 4410m / 14,468ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : Day Hiking for Acclimatization

Today serves as another day for acclimatization due to the increased altitude. To aid this process, we'll hike to a renowned viewpoint in the area: Chhukung Ri or Nangkartshang peak. This summit treats us to breathtaking vistas of peaks like Everest (8848m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), Makalu (8481m), Island Peak (6189m), and Baruntse (7129m), as well as the Imja valley and icy glaciers. After enjoying ample time at Chhukung Peak, we'll retrace our steps back to Dingboche.


Day 9 : Dingboche to Lobuche

  • Max Altitude: 4,910m / 16,108ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : 4-5 Hours

Today, we leave Pheriche and follow the trail towards the Khumbu valley. About an hour later, the path starts ascending to the Khumbu Glacier. Dhugla marks the halfway point of the climb to the moraine. Beyond Dhugla, the trail continues to steeply ascend to the crest of the moraine. Later, the path levels out on the western side of the moraine before leading us to Lobuche. We'll spend the night at a Tea House.


Day 10 : Lobuche to Gorak Shep to EBC

  • Max Altitude: 5,364m / 17,598ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : 6-7 Hours

After a few hours, we'll reach Gorakshep and proceed to Everest Base Camp. Although the altitude doesn't increase significantly, the path involves numerous ups and downs, which, combined with the altitude, can pose a challenge. However, the hike is truly rewarding. After approximately 4 to 5 hours of trekking, you'll arrive at the base camp. Here, you'll be treated to views of the Khumbu Glacier and Icefall, the starting point of Everest expeditions.

Day 11 : Hike to Kalapathar and Decend to Pheriche

  • Max Altitude: 5,545m / 18,192 ft (Kalapatthar) 4,240m / 13,910 ft (Pheriche)
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : 6 Hours

The hike to Kalapatthar followed by the trek down to Pheriche is a truly rewarding adventure in Nepal's Everest region. Kalapatthar is renowned for its breathtaking sunrise views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks, making it a definite highlight of the trek.

Beginning with a challenging ascent to Kalapatthar, the effort is well worth it as you'll be treated to panoramic vistas of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and more. After soaking in the stunning sunrise, the trek takes you on a descent towards Pheriche. This part of the journey showcases picturesque landscapes, charming Sherpa villages, and serene forests, allowing you to both admire the natural beauty and experience local life.

Nestled amidst the Himalayas, Pheriche offers a unique opportunity to connect with the Sherpa community, learning about their culture and traditions. As you descend from Kalapatthar to Pheriche, the scenery changes gradually, taking you from high alpine terrain to lower altitudes. This trek provides a comprehensive experience of both mountain landscapes and tranquil valleys. Remember to acclimatize properly, stay hydrated, and capture the incredible memories along the way.


Day 12 : Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

The trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar unveils stunning Himalayan views and winds through picturesque landscapes. Leaving Pheriche, the path descends to the Dudh Koshi River and then ascends through lush forests and charming Sherpa villages. These well-trodden trails provide an opportunity to absorb the local culture and experience the Sherpa people's hospitality. Be sure to visit the Tengboche Monastery, a spiritual landmark en route. The journey concludes in Namche Bazaar, a vibrant Sherpa town and a trekking hub. Proper acclimatization is essential, so you can fully appreciate the breathtaking vistas this trek offers.


Day 13 : Namchebazaar to Lukla

  • Max Altitude: 2860m / 9383ft
  • Accommodation: Tea House
  • Trek Duration : 4 Hours

It's another extended day as we descend to Lukla, tracing the Dudh Kosi river through the valley. The trail involves both descents and ascents, culminating with a forested climb. Passing villages along the way, we eventually reach Lukla, where you can finally relax and unwind.


Day 14 : Lukla to Kathmandu

Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu and then transfer to your hotel. This morning marks our farewell to Mt. Everest and the Khumbu Region. We'll catch our flight to either Kathmandu or Manthali Airport, contingent on airport availability and weather conditions. Once back, we'll have time for shopping before our evening farewell dinner.


Day 15 : Departure

Choose between flying back home or extending your stay in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan etc.
